Fins & Feathers Tackle Shop was opened in 1984 with one thing in mind, to help people catch more and bigger fish. Everything we do is geared toward increased angler success, The Fins staff is the best around. One of the major areas of concern when we hire a new person isn’t where their degree is from or work experience, its do they know how to catch fish. More importantly, can they spread this knowledge and help others be successful. This mindset allows us to have a staff that knows the water and knows how to help you catch more fish.
Jeff Smith
Jeff is the owner and founder of Fins & Feathers Tackle Shop and Guide Service. If there was ever anybody who was born to be in this business, it is him. He is widely considered to be one of the best all around anglers in the region. Whether it is Northern Pike, Bass, or one of the Salmon species; If it swims, Jeff can catch it.
Jordan Smith
Jordan has been here since the beginning. After finishing his MBA Jordan decided to come back to his calling here with us at Fins & Feathers. Jordan has been an area expert for all fisheries in the inland northwest. Whether it be from lake trolling to Northern Pike Fishing, Bass fishing, to some occasional fly fishing Jordan can do it all. Jordan is more than willing to help you get pointed in the right direction for you or your families next adventure.
Mike Cordon
Mike has been hunting and fishing the Coeur d’ Alene area for over 40 years. He has been apart of the Fins team for over 20 years now. Bring his energy to every trip he takes along with his knowledge makes him one of the best fishermen in our area. Mike enjoys chasing Salmon all over Idaho and Washington. He also enjoys chasing all the crazy fish in Mexico. Mike is now part owner in the guide business.
Lane Robinson
Lunker Lane has been fishing since he could walk. He specilizes in Bass fish but has also turned into one heck of a Salmon and Trout fishermen. Lane also enjoys waterfowl hunting. Lane is our Bass guy fishing in most of the Bass Tournaments in our area. He has placed and won many tournaments over the years. We are glad to have Lane on our team he brings the young energy to the team.
Dan Pierce
Dan grew up on the south end of Coeur d’ Alene Lake, fishing and hunting has been in his blood since he was a little kid and hasn’t stop since. Dan is one of those guys that without him the store couldn’t be where it is at today, most of his work goes unnoticed to the public eye although to us here at Fins & Feathers we appreciate Dan more than anything. Dan has been volunteering and helping out with us for over 10 years now. Dan is an avid Northern Pike and Chinook Salmon fisherman, although he enjoys fishing for all the different species in Idaho, Washington and parts of Montana. Dan is more than willing to share his experiences with fishing to anyone who needs help. His biggest passion now is helping kids get “Hooked” on fishing!
Zach Mohr
Zach Mohr is a Coeur d Alene local and has over 20 years of fishing experience. After receiving a bachelors in fisheries resources and aquaculture from the University of Idaho, Zach worked several fisheries jobs around the northwest and Alaska. He then returned to Coeur d Alene to fulfill his lifelong dream, becoming fishing guide. With Coeur d Alene being Zach’s home lake, he has put in a lot of hours learning to catch the lakes most sought after species and he looks forward to using his knowledge to educate and help you have a good day on the water.
